Description
NetMon Syslog
The NetMon Syslog is a purpose-built syslog-to-relay appliance that bridges your network to your alarm panel. It turns network events into physical alarm triggers — watch your firewall, switches, NVRs, or any syslog-capable device, and the moment a matching event is logged, a relay fires straight into your intruder panel, access system or BMS.
Replaces the need for complex and expensive IT monitoring tools like SolarWinds. The NetMon provides a simple, direct network-to-alarm interface that any security installer can commission.
Key Features
- Dual-relay output — wire directly to any IDS panel zone, PAC input or aux contact
- Syslog trigger matching — configure multiple keyword triggers per relay (case-insensitive, up to 80 characters)
- Pulse or Latch mode — per-relay, with configurable pulse duration (5/10/30/60 seconds)
- Wired Ethernet only — static IP, subnet and gateway; no WiFi, no cloud, no attack surface
- Windows configuration app — tabbed UI for connection, relay setup and live event log, with confirmation dialogs, inline validation and log-to-file
- Commissioning-friendly — on-board relay test, quick/timed test pulses, MAC readout and firmware version check for O&M records
- Field-upgradable firmware — over USB
